Pick 21 — Philadelphia Eagles select, Trevon Diggs, CB.
It is no secret that Philly needs secondary help. They could go receiver here, but all the top one’s are off the board. Diggs brings immediate needed help.
Pick 22 — Buffalo Bills select, Justin Jefferson, WR.
Buffalo needs a big man on the outside, the 6’3 receiver will do exactly that. Weapons of Allen, Singletary, Jefferson, and Brown could be a real threat.
Pick 23 — New England Patriots select, Justin Herbet, QB.
The predecessor to Tom Brady falls into their lap. Whether Brady stays or goes, if Herbert is there, the Pats will pounce on him.
Pick 24 — New Orleans Saints select, Andrew Thomas, OT.
Whether it’s Brees, Bridgewater, Hill, or someone else, the Saints need to protect their QB. They have the weapons to make a deep run, give the QB more time, and they could potentially hoist the Lombardi.
Pick 25 — Minnesota Vikings select, A.J. Terrell, CB.
Vikings need secondary help. Rhodes didn’t have the best season, and Harrison Smith may be leaving.
Pick 26 — Miami Dolphins select, A.J. Epenesa, Edge.
Dolphins finish off an impressive first-round by taking a dynamic pass rusher who has 22 sacks in the past 2 seasons.
Pick 27 — Seattle Seahawks select, Josh Jones, OT.
Seattle has needed offensive help since they drafted Russell Wilson in 2012. They will get a nice athlete in Jones.
Pick 28 — Baltimore Ravens select, Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge.
The Ravens need to focus on that front 7 in the draft. Gross-Matos will bring much needed explosiveness.
Pick 29 — Tennessee Titans select, Austin Jackson, OT.
They will most likely lose stud tackle, Jack Conklin, so Jackson will be his replacement. If they are able to resign Henry, they need a good front 5 and Jackson helps shore up the line.
Pick 30 — Green Bay Packers select, Patrick Queen, LB.
The Packers can go different ways here, but with influx of receivers and tackles in the draft and on the market, they will get Blake Martinez’s replacement. Mike Pettine now has a King and a Queen on his defense.
Pick 31 — San Fransisco 49ers select, Jeff Gladney, CB.
The 49ers get a physical and energetic defensive back to go along with Richard Sherman. With the dominant front 7, one more key piece in the secondary will cause nightmares for teams throughout the league.
Pick 32 — Kansas City Chiefs select, Zach Baun, Edge.
With the potential departure of pass rusher (and who should’ve been super bowl MVP) Chris Jones, they need his replacement, and Baun is exactly that.
