Along with the new CBA deal, the NFL also announced today that the league will start as scheduled.

There were discussions on moving it back to the fear of coronavirus, but alas, the virus has not disrupted the NFL!

Yet

Tomorrow will be the tampering period, and the new league year will start Wednesday.

After leagues being postponed and cancelled, players testing positive for coronavirus, this is some nice news to finally hear.

This means tomorrow teams can legally start talking to players who are free agents and they can put agreements into place that’ll become official when the new league year starts.

Just remember folks, just because there is a deal in place, doesn’t mean it is official. cough cough Anthony Barr.

Any who, you also have to remember that there have been trades and roster moves that have happened, that are not official yet. They become officially official this Wednesday.

The franchise tag deadline was the only thing moved. The deadline to tag a player is tomorrow, 11:59 A.M. Four big name players were tagged on Friday. Those players are: Matthew Judon, Justin Simmons, Hunter Henry, and Yannick Ngakoue.

I only expect Ngakoue not to be with his team when the season — hopefully — kicks off on September 10th.

The biggest headline to obviously look out for these next few days will be where Tom Brady goes.

The QB market will have to wait for him to sign, then guys like Winston, Mariota, and Rivers will get to sign where they’d like.

Since this is the only sports we will get for awhile, lets enjoy the next few days of madness!
