Well, there is no official news yet, but the Panthers are working hard to trade quarterback, Cam Newton.
This surprises me as I thought new head coach Matt Rhule was going to come in and try to work with Newton, well that’s out of the window.
I would expect the Chicago Bears to do whatever they can to get Newton. Yesterday there were reports they were in on Andy Dalton, Nick Foles, and Teddy Bridgewater. With this news, I assume the Bears will go all in on the former MVP.
I also expect the New England Patriots to go hard after Newton after the huge news that was announced this morning, that will be posted about later though.
Unfortunately, this one looks like it can and will end ugly.
Newton is coming of a season where he didn’t play much thanks to a shoulder injury, but he is still only 30-years-old and can bounce back in a big way.
I think any team will be lucky to acquire him, and I personally don’t believe the Panthers should ship him out.
Wherever Newton goes, that team will be happy.
