No, that header is not clickbait.
Yes, this morning, Tom Brady took to social media and officially announced that next season he will be playing football for a team not named the New England Patriots.
Reports are that he went to Robert Krafts house last night and they had a talk and that’s when the final decision was made. It is also reported that the Pats never even made an offer or a try to get Brady back.
No matter what reports read, I personally did not believe Brady would ever leave, but here we are.
I quite frankly don’t understand why he is gong to leave, or why the Patriots are going to let him leave.
There is something special about playing and finishing your career with the same team.
We all know the accolades for the 6 time super bowl champion, so I’m not going to bore you and put them here, but at 42-years-old, Brady can still play, and he can get a deal that goes from 3-5 years.
I have zero idea where Brady will or wants to go, but the teams that immediately pop into my head are; the Buccaneers, the Chargers, and the Colts.
If I’m Brady, I stay away from the Bucs and focus on LA and Indy. I have to imagine he will choose his home state, California, but who knows anymore.
A hater or lover of Brady, you have to appreciate greatness, and that’s what Brady is, great.
I wish he wouldn’t leave, and I wish the Pats would do anything to bring him back, but I’m not a front office executive for an NFL team for a reason.
It’s going to be weird to see him in another jersey this year, but what else would you expect from 2020?
