Tom Brady signs with the Buccaneers

Well, Tom Brady’s 20-year run with the New England Patriots is officially over and he is headed to the Bucs.

This looks weird as hell.

I do not quite understand the move for Brady, but then again, I am not a 6-time super bowl winning quarterback.

I still don’t believe this move puts the Bucs in prime winning position, but it certainly helps them. I still believe they will finish bottom of their division, and miss out on the playoffs, but, what the hell do I know?

Next year the question will finally be answered, is Brady actually a “system quarterback?” It won’t be fair to judge that off one year in Tampa for a 42-year-old, but there will still be debate all over.

Also, next year will also answer the question on if the Patriots can survive without the California born kid. Sure, they won’t be super bowl favorites next year, but with some right moves in the next coming months, I can see them easily making the playoffs.

Let’s remember, Bill Belichick led the 2009 Patriots to an 11-5 record with Matt Cassel at the helm.

Also, when Brady was suspended for four games in 2015, the Patriots started that season with Jimmy G and Jacoby Brissett, and went 3-1. They ended up winning the super bowl that year as well.

Brady gets a new start in his journey and the Patriots will be without Brady on their roster for the first time since 2000.

Truly the end of an amazing run in New England.
