Greatest Moments Bracket, Round 2: NFC

NFC North:

Division Championship Game — (1) Bart Starr sneak in the Ice Bowl vs. (3) Minneapolis Miracle.

Winner — Bart Starr sneak

As a Packer fan, I will forever love the story behind the sneak. Starr comes over to the sideline and tells Lombardi that he can sneak it in. Lombardi says, “Run it. And let’s get the hell out of here.” Starr’s sneak is the first NFC moment to advance to the Elite 8.

NFC South:

Division Championship Game — (1) Steve Gleason blocked punt vs. (3) Steve Smith 69-yard-touchdown.

Winner — Steve Gleason blocked punt.

“Easy one for me,” David Havlin. It seems as if the Saints were going to easily walk through the NFC South this whole time. It’s Gleason vs. Starr in the next matchup.

NFC East:

Division Championship Game — (1) David Tyree Super Bowl catch vs. (2) Roger Staubach first ever Hail Mary.

Winner — Tyree catch

Without David Tyree, the New England Patriots go undefeated and Tom Brady would have SEVEN Super Bowl Rings instead of six. I find it very tough to see a moment knocking off Tyree and his, uh spectacular? amazing? skillful? catch. Nah, his lucky catch.

NFC West:

Divisional Championship Game — (1) The Catch vs. (2) The Tackle

Winner — The Catch.

100% the toughest matchup to choose from in the sweet 16. “I almost flipped a coin for this one,” Havlin said. “The niner dynasty is just not the same without that game.”

Thank you David Havlin for the wonderful help again!
