Pardon My Take, also known as PMT, is one of the top 20 ranked podcasts in the United States on Spotify. The wildly popular podcast is produced by Barstool Sports and its primary focus is sports.
The hosts of the podcast are Dan Katz, known as “Big Cat,” and Eric Sollenberger, better known as “PFT Commentator.” I am usually not a big fan of podcasts, but this is by far my favorite one, and it is for many reasons.

The latest episode I listened to was the one that was released on Monday, October 26, where they primarily recapped the entire Sunday of football, it was Week 7 of the NFL season.
Everything these two do together, referring to Big Cat and PFT, works. They are two people who you can tell just work well together, and they do not need a camera to prove it. They each balance off of each other and bring different styles to the podcast. Both of their personalities are amazing and that’s why it is must listen, they could be two of the funniest people when together.

In regards to their latest show, but also the entire series as a whole, it absolutely needs to be a podcast. It would be a crime to take away this show to the fans and written words would not do it justice. Big Cat and PFT both have blogs for Barstool Spots and they can blog whenever they feel, but I hope they never blog again.
This is not a knock on their blogging or writing, I’ve truthfully never read one of their blog posts, but I know they will not be better than their podcast. These two were meant to be on a microphone together and provide entertainment to the fans listening. They are knowledgable about sports and the topic at hand, but they also know what their fans like and what people want to hear.
I think that this podcast takes advantage of everything and it is fascinating to see them do it in their normal episodes, like the most recent one uploaded. Their episodes are always great to listen to and they always have big guest stars join them, and those are the best episodes, but just listening them recap a wild day of football is something special.

These two have a talent that you can’t teach. They make something as simple as two people talking about sports seem extraordinary. It does help that they get big guest stars to join them on their show, but still, they are incredible.
I am glad that this is a podcast, and not written pieces of work, and I personally like reading things more. These two have reached the peak of the podcast game and I think they can set a new bar for podcasts, especially sports related ones. I mean, after all, they are the number one ranked sports podcast in America today, and they have held that spot for a long time. Everyone should listen to their episodes, you will not be disappointed.
